The UK Coaching
Certificate (UKCC) is the future of coaching, this has been brought
into over 30 sports to improve the quality of coaching across the UK
to provide and build safe and effective coaching systems for
participants in all sports.
The UKCC Level 2 is a generic coaching qualification, although not
specific to show jumping it provides a firm foundation for coaching
over all disciplines. Level 2 coaches are able to teach independently
and are insured to do so. The UKCC Level 3 Show Jumping specific is
the next qualification after UKCC Level 2.
For BSJA Academy
training sessions a Level 2 coach can teach flat and pole work under
the supervision of a Level 3 or BSJA Accredited Coach. All current
Accredited Coaches will move over to the UKCC standard in the future
(which is perceived as a Level 4).
BSJA North East is very
fortunate to have access to both Accredited Trainers and UKCC Level 2
Coaches and would encourage any member looking to make a career out of
coaching to consider the UKCC Coaching Certificate (full details
available from
